As long as the political posts were kept on a specific forum, I was fine with that. But, I gained back a lot of time for other worthless activities.

I regularly check out the forums on various news sites, and the comments are (predictably) biased depending on the political bent of the poster..But you can say the same for the slant of the reports themselves.
