I stumbled upon this video interview of Rick Rossovich who plays Slider in Top Gun, and wow does he look old compared to Tom Cruise now. It's amazing how Tom Cruise looks compared to a lot of his fellow cast members from that movie. Especially Kelly McGillis and Val Kilmer who look absolutely horrible now. I definitely think Tom Cruise sold his soul to the devil to not age like his peers have!

Well Kelly is five years older than Tom. Val is three years older. Clearly Tom takes good care of himself. Val not so much. Kelly just chose to age gracefully. Anthony lost all his hair a month after Top Gun came out. Otherwise he looks ok.

I used the term "gracefully" to mean naturally, as opposed to fighting the aging process via cosmetic surgery, unnatural hair coloring, etc. If she wasn't a "hot" actress at one time, nobody would think she looked bad for a 60-something woman.

It’s a more extreme version of the “Just-got-a-haircut” look.

It has to be tough when a major portion of your career is your looks. When you are forever "frozen" in time to so many people in your films etc as this handsome/beautiful person. To watch the ravages of age creep in...the urge to slow or reverse that must be incredibly strong.
Yes sometimes it ends up looking a bit creepy though.
