What do you think? I will wait until I'm older before buying a motorhome (even though I'm getting close) and don't want a 5th wheel because I don't want more than a 1/2 ton truck, its hard enough to park around Doak during school.. My 2013 Outback I will trade in is close to this but this one has a lot of extras I would like and it has one slide that is about 60 sq ft bigger than my current one.

I don't know much about buses or rv life, but from an appearance stand point, it looks like a helluva deal for 37K!

Some friends of ours bought a little pop-up camper. I made fun of them at first, thought they were nuts. They could afford something better, but they wanted something quick and easy to pull. All they wanted to do is visit state and national parks in Florida on the weekends. They have posted a lot of pics over this past year with places they have been, and only on the weekends, and I'd have to say it's looks pretty legit.

The camper type was top of the line for that size, cost them only 10K. It had pull out couch, tv, king size bed, queen size bed, and a double, plus it had a kitchenette in and outside, canopy, nice stereo system...it was nice. Was much more pratical than one would think from it's appearances when not popped up. It's something my wife and I talked about doing once our little man gets a little older...like 5 or 6.

Anyhow...yes, looks legit, go buy it, and then invite to one of your star-studded tailgates next year :)

I wouldn't tow it with a half ton even if it is 'legal'

My boat weighs in about there and it's an E ticket ride at times even with the triple axle trailer. I couldn't imagine having the same weight (or way more by the time you load that thing up) with the size of that thing. Think about gusty winds, etc. You are looking at nearly 10000 pounds when fully loaded and stocked.

I ended up buying rack storage for the boat and am now looking at F350's for doing real towing.

The difference in size of a bigger truck and a half ton is pretty negligible these days. A few inches wider and maybe a foot longer for the same cab style. The trick with any truck is backing into spaces.

7500, its only 300 pounds more than the one I have been towing for 3 years. Loaded around 8500-9000. I have a V8 Titan, looking into buying a Ford F150 by the end of the year

That's really nice. My wife and I will prob be in the market for a travel trailer (used, not so pimp) early next year. One thing I've wondered, sort of off topic - do they hold there value pretty well? Meaning, is it easy to trade them in after a few yrs? I doubt most people are holding onto them for the duration they finance them at. Just wondering what that process is like.

Personal opinion, buy a new one. Do your homework, find the cheapest prices on the internet after you know the exact model you want. Try to keep it in the ballpark of that price. Buy from a reputable dealer that will do your warranty work. At camping World I got 4% finance rate and I pay $30 a month for as long as its financed and it has a full warranty with a 4100 deductible. You buy a used one and it costs a lot of money to have them worked on.

Looks nice and it looks super loaded.

The only thing I can say is I own a F150 with an Eco-Boost, and I can't say I like towing my 24' trailer around. Before you go and trade your truck in on one, go and test drive a few 1/2 tons and 3/4 ton trucks. You can test your trailer with mine if you want..... I could always use some tickets!!! :)

I just bought one of these about 3 weeks ago. $34,000 w/33,000 miles. It has a nicer interior with leather instead of that loud upholstery. And it's a Chevy Workhorse chassis with an 8.1 liter big block.

Why did I not know you had one of these vs a motorhome? I thought you had a Class A. The one you linked to is really nice.

I don't want over a 1/2 ton truck so 5th wheel is not a option. I'm not ready for a motorhome, I only see those as practical if you are retired and can live for long periods of time on the road. I don't want my living quarters to be in jeopardy because of a mechanical failure. I like to unhook and go.

Jam, if I had your kind of money I'd go this route...

There are lots of options for 5th wheels towable by a 1/2 ton truck. Many trailer companies are making lightweight trailers. You can google for yourself, but my link is a decent place to start.

Ive talked about getting a F250 and a 5th wheel, I have no desire for a small 5th wheel. If I go that route Im going big.
