I'm the exact opposite. I started with Hulu but they cut channels and raised rates. Went to Youtube and they have a better interface IMO. Have always had the acc channel so no issues there as of yet. They also just added the EPIX channels for no additional cost. We DVR almost everything. Some channels force you to watch a reduced amount of commercials.I use a roku. I don't have one with a dvr and hulu allows 50 hours storage. Youtube TV has unlimited storage up to 9 months. I liked Youtube better until they started talking about cutting the ACC network and I quickly changed to Hulu and have not changed back.
Because it's more than $50/mo for most. I went from $210/mo to $120/mo and that included going from 100mbps to 500mbpsI've looked into this and the savings of ~$50/mth to cut the cord just didn't seem worth it to me.
We pay about 210/m for spectrum with 2 dvrs, internet and 1 land line (included for free).
I know that wasn't your question, but was curious the strong desire of many folks to cut the cord.

We have Netflix, Disney triple play with Hulu and ESPN+. No Amazon Video.Bryan, that $120/m includes Netflix, Amazon, etc?~100/m is definitely a meaningful savings.

Yep, plus or minus $5 maybe. Frontier Fios internetAnd that 120/m includes all those streaming services, right?

Just Hulu as it's part of the triple play. I had Live to begin with for 6 months but it was glitchy for me and then they raised the prices. Switched to Youtube TV and it has had no issues and IMO a better user interface, plus it was cheaper. Most of the channels are identical where I live.@bryanscho do you have Hulu + Live TV, or just Hulu?
If you have Hulu + Live TV, I guess the follow up is why did you choose Hulu vs YouTubeTV?
Yes. That's about $50, internet was $40 and the rest is made up of Disney bundle and netflixThanks, Bryan. One last question... The $120 also includes YouTube TV?
I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to switch, that's why I am asking all these questions.
I have 4 DVRs & 2 regular boxes (they charge $8 bucks per box +$20 for the DVR service). I don't have a problem with that. I pay $65 for 200 mbps of internet that buffers more than I like & $20 for a landline (no problem with that).I've looked into this and the savings of ~$50/mth to cut the cord just didn't seem worth it to me.

Who's your internet provider?Because it's more than $50/mo for most. I went from $210/mo to $120/mo and that included going from 100mbps to 500mbps
Frontier FiosWho's your internet provider?
@bryanscho
I will definitely explore youtube! We have Netflix, Disney triple play with Hulu and ESPN+. No Amazon Video.
I just called Frontier Fios, put in my zip code & no luck for me.Yep, plus or minus $5 maybe. Frontier Fios internet
Dang. Sorry to hear that. I'm fortunate I guess.I just called Frontier Fios, put in my zip code & no luck for me.
This is my issue. YouTube still has Fox Sports Sun but not the other one whatever that was called. I think the Rays are almost exclusively on Sun so I’m gonna let it ride for now (not that there’s anything sports wise to watch now).I had YouTube tv until they cut the FOX Sports channels. Now I have HULU live tv. It’s good
So, as a follow up, I'm doing the 2-week trial for YouTube TV. I've had enough of Spectrum issues....
The next piece of the puzzle is the wifi. I've got a Spectrum provided Modem. Purchased the Google wifi mesh network, and it works MORE than adequate, I'd say a B grade, maybe B+. But there's another option....Orbi, by Netgear. What I don't know is if their AC300 system can add a second satellite (third piece of equipment total). Not because we have a big house, but because we seem to have lots of interference in the house, and the Router is clear across the house from where most of our wifi is needed. (Moving the modem is not an option, either....)

I bought the Nighthawk AC3000 last month and the router easily covers the entire house without a bridge and handles all the devices without issue.
Yes, you can add a satellite to the AC3000. I have the AC3000 Router/Satellite setup at my place, and I installed one at my sister's NYC apt because of poor reception due to stone/brick wall interference.
One really glaring issue with YTTV is the parental options. You either let TV-PG and under be watched, or let ANYTHING be watched. No PG13/R/TVMA exclusion options. Not saying this is a deal-killer, but it's annoying as heck.
How I have interpreted it...YT-TV does have the Rays channel, so we're good. I *think* we're saying the same thing.
I am going to use the Spectrum provided Modem...if I don't, they charge for housecalls..
I have Google mesh...one Router and three additional mesh points. In the main TV room, I get ~60mgb download speed, which I THINK is more than adequate.
The question becomes...does the Orbi AC3000 mesh (with only 2 total units) perform better in my home? I don't know that answer, and not sure I want to take a chance...but I would!
How many floors/square feet to cover?I bought the Nighthawk AC3000 last month and the router easily covers the entire house without a bridge and handles all the devices without issue.
