Is the former player leading the Doak revolt willing to speak with Doak’s family?

I’m being serious. Is there an answer that they could give that would satisfy those in favor of the renaming cause to reconsider?

FSU players want to lead right? Well, part of leadership is being willing to listen. At the end of the day the movement may still be there to change the name but at least there was a discussion and optically it won’t look like satisfying a mob rule mentality.

To be clear, if this movement is earnest and true, I am in support of their right to protest and ask for change. But if dialogue doesn’t happen, then it isn’t progress for all.

^^^^All of this.
Admin. needs to conduct an extensive investigation (as Coburn stated). If clear and consistent evidence of racism is found, then discuss with all stakeholders (players included of course) about process of removing name.

If no clear evidence (other Wikipedia) is found, than changing the name is an injustice itself.
Regardless, need to have a trial before calling the firing squad.

Reserve no one cared about. He is a Dr of some sort. Assuming PHD and not MD. He also recommended Charlie Ward field but Charlie Ward was a used of being an antisemite while playing with the Knicks and extensively written about by terrible NYT. Point is there is irony to Walt inclusion but he didn’t do research into Charlie Ward back ground. It may not be true but in cancel outrage culture that doesn’t matter. The dr. Is a hypocrite...
