1) Thus far, the OL has not been able to consistently able to protect the QB and block on run plays. If it weren't for Dalvin Cook's amazing play, we may not have much of a running game at all. We were spoiled for the last few years with an OL that was so good. These guys have alot of learning and growing up to do.
2) Where are you Rashad Greene? We were so lucky to have this kid catching everything thrown his way for 4 years. Now it seems even our experienced WRs cannot consistently catch what is thrown their way. Bobo is hot and cold, same for Rudolph. We have the best WR class in the country last year and these kids can't get on the field. As for the TEs, which many of us (me included) thought they would be much better then we have seen thus far.
3) Golson. I had high hopes. I was at the FSU/Notre Dame game last season, and saw what he did in that game. I had visions of him doing to our opponents what he did to us last year. I don't know exactly what the problem(s) is/are, but he looks unsure of himself at times and, honestly, some of Jimbo's playcalling has not helped him at times, especially today. I am not saying it is time for Sean McGwire yet, but that time may come soon. I cannot imagine he would be worse.
4) The defense played undisciplined today. WAY too many stupid penalties that prolonged drives for a pathetic Wake Forrest offense. I don't know if they had their minds on next week or what, but they gave up alot of plays to WF and gave them alot of help. Thank you Tyler Hunter for closing them out with the pic in the endzone. We are perilously thin at LB right now and SKL needs to lose his redshirt now. We may need him next week vs Miami. Hopefully Nate and Terrance are OK and good to go next week, we certainly will need them.
5) All the "We Own U" and banners asking Golden to stay talk about Miami may just come back and bite us in the ass this week. FSU has no place talking trash to anyone right now. We have a bunch of rivals that would love nothing more then to embarrass us and rub our noses in it. I think we are going to experience that a few times this season, and it ain't gonna be fun. I hope I am wrong on that.
