Pretty cool commemorative bottle for Lemmy and Motorhead

Honestly was anyone REALLY a Motörhead fan?

I mean I know the Ace of Spades was a hit, of sorts, but I've never EVER met anyone who owned a Motörhead album (that I know of).

I get it, Lemmy was cool. No denying that. And that thing on his face was hideous and scary...I get that too. But did they really have any fans?

I feel the same way. Saw a lot of Motorhead shirts in the day, but even those people probably had the shirt but not the albums.

I would toss Motorhead in with the NY Dolls, Velvet Underground, Big Star, etc...much more popular among other bands than with the general public. I don't know whether they had particular appeal to the type of person that starts a band, or it's just a "thing" when you're in a band, but there are a bunch of groups like that. Apparently much more important and influential to people that music fans listen to than they are to music fans themselves.

Casual Motörhead fan. Dig Ace Of Spades and I'm So Bad. With you on that.

But Velvet Undeground and Big Star...gtfooh. If you're not a fan of those bands I have a hard time taking you seriously as a music fan.

They're fine. But they sold about nine records each. It's not whether I'm a fan or not.
