Jack Ryan series on Amazon

I got into watching "Seal Team" and "The Brave" this season. Two of the best shows in a long time. Can't believe The Brave only had 8 episodes and will not air again until Jan. 8. Both are action packed and keep you on edge the whole show.

I quit watching Seal Team after three episodes, just can't stand anything produced on CBS. Check out Six on History Channel, it's a better version.

I'm also excited for this. Don't really make much use of Amazon's streaming offerings, so I'll have to pay attention.

Have you watched The Man in the High Castle?

I watched about half of the first season. It’s very much in my wheelhouse (Scifi and history) but the production value and some of the acting really turned me off. I’m going to try to finish it at some point, I’m just swamped atm with too much Netflix and cable programs.

I did really enjoy the half season that’s out for the Tick though. And Electric Dreams looks interesting and has a fantastic cast.

It took me a while to really get into it, and even then, the acting was sub par sometimes. I think the story itself is the payoff.

I need to give it another try. Got really confused in the first couple of episodes.

Not the kind of show you can watch without paying close attention.

I liked The Tick also. Fun and easy.

I just couldn't do the Man in the High Castle. Hated the acting and casting. Great concept, but felt filtered through a 1980s network production.

Also on Amazon, I liked Goliath and loved Sneaky Pete. I also like Patriot, a dark comedy about a CIA operative. I've lapsed on it though, just a casualty of things I'm more interested in.

Just finished Dark on Netflix...big fan. One of my favorite recent shows for sure. And I enjoy Future Man on Hulu...silly sci-fi/action comedy. Some of it hits better than other parts, but in general I think it's good. My main complaint is that it's too many episodes...there's a bit of a "one joke" vibe to it that would be stronger over 8-9 episodes. Probably would have been better suited in a traditional once a week run than a binge I guess. I thought The Tick was much stronger for a condensed 6-episode run.
