I believe being able to focus on just football is going to pay big dividends for Jameis in Tampa.
If the Bucs are smart, one thing they should have picked up on is that everything Jameis was able to do here was while he was splitting time as a pitcher. He was not fully focused on 4th quarter drills, off season strength and conditioning, spring practice, etc. I am not saying that he did not put in work, but being able to focus and train the way he can now, is going to make him amazing.
When he is compared to other past No. 1 picks, I think to myself how many of them split time with another sport? Not many. I will tell you this, he may not be an all pro next year, but he will be a far cry from a normal rookie. I expect a 62% completion rate, 4000 + passing yards, and 28:15 td:int.
