Now that Famous Jameis has had his pro debut, what do you think? I would give him
a B-. You could see rookie mistakes, first game jitters. Playing on the road really didn't
help him any, but I thought that the Minnesota fans were congenial. Playing the entire first half
seems unusual for a rookie quarterback. But the experience will do him a world of good. Jameis
is a threat to score in many different ways, as shown in his touchdown drive. I suspect that Tampa Bay
is feeling good about their number one selection.

Playing the entire first half seems unusual for a rookie quarterback.

It's unusual to go into the first preseason game knowing that a rookie is going to start at QB for your team. Andrew Luck played the whole first half of his first preseason game.
Jameis was off target early. I think his first completion, the long bomb, could have been a TD if the receiver hadn't been forced to adjust back to the middle of the field to catch the ball.
He got better as the game went on though.
Very surprised NFL refs didn't call the shot to the head he took when he scrambled.

He made some good throws and decisions and some poor ones. Two things stood out for me.
One, his offensive line is not good. I remember one commentator saying Jameis was going to struggle this year, not due to his ability but to the porous nature of his O-line. If he can't get a little relaxed in the pocket, he'll force things that aren't there.
Two, he needs to come to the realization that all the players are in the NFL for a reason. Some of the throws he made would've had a better chance of being completed against college competition. He's used to throwing into tight windows but not those that close so quickly.
All in all I thought he did alright. I'd give him a C for the first quarter and a B for the second.

Jameis didn't have a ton to work with. Bad snaps...blocking...field position etc. Given everything he did well first game jitters aside.

I thought he bounced back well from a slow jittery start, all things considered. He had terrible field position on each of his first two possessions, and the Bucs' play-calling did him no favors at all by not dialing up some easy completions early on to ease those jitters.
