Me and the old man would listen to his albums on the way to fish Lake Okeechobee before daylight when I was a kid.
For that memory alone, Ol’ Jerry is ok in my book.

Same here... me and pops, many times on the way to the lake listening to this man...... I remember one time he was talking about how smart his bird dog was.... he said his dog would be running and you could here him running and then it got all quiet.... someone asked what happened.... And Jerry said that was no big deal.... the dog was just crossing over private property..... lol... to hear him tell it made the story.....
