I am going to be the first to admit that I have never been to excited about his play calling or offense in general however I have to man up and admit that he made some phenomenal adjustments today after a horrid performance by our oline. The job he has done with Golson has been astonishing in my opinion. He has improved every week and although he isn't perfect he has earned my respect. Bottom line is the man can flat out coach quarterbacks and when he is on his game he can call a hell of of game.
The issue I have is the whole Kelly situation. I've tried my hardest to look for a reason other than him and his philosophy as a reason why we continue to see the same struggles week after week. Our defense is loaded with talent .and future NFL draft picks (with the exeption of Hunter) who in my opinion isn't totally at fault. Kelley sees Hunter getting abused just as we all do yet he continues to trot him out there placing him in the same situation play after play. We have true freshman on the bench tgat you could shuffle things around and adjust to make things better certainly not any worse. I think his philosophy is terrible and he is one of the worst in game adjustment guys I've ever seen. I honestly hate to trash talk a coach but it just seems like he is in over his head. Jimbo has to see and think in his mind something has to be changed. I see a team full of talent and potential if golson continues to progress and cook continues to manage his injury that can make a run and it's going to be a shame if bad philosophy and decisions on defense waste all this talent.
