Now go and try it, you won't be disappointed.

WOB should have, and most Total Wines and Spirits I believe have it. Getting it as a draft is obviously the best way to experience.

So good!

I have a few of the kentucky honey barrell brown ales in the fridge right now. Good stuff. Not as good as the Dogfish palo santo marron browns (try those if you like the kentucky bourbon ales), but a good brown ale in it's own right. And be careful a few of those will sneak up on you at 10 and 12%.

Love me some Dogfish...I'll have to the PaloSanto and report back. That's a seriously statement you made

Other than muchas, i don't know anyone that likes boilermakers, but you could always gonthat route. But seriously, the kentucky bourbon ale is actually pretty light compared to most brown ales, especially the dogfish brown, which is on the darker side of the spectrum.

Dfs- i just checked and the kentucky bourbon is actually a strong ale, where the kentucky honey is a brown ale.

And when you say taste flat, are you referring to carbonation or flavor? Trust me there is no shortage of flavor in these, some brown ales taste kinda weak, but the stronger ones like the kentucky honey and palo santo are full of complexity and aroma.

I like Newcastle brown, but dang that clear bottle bit me in the butt and the last sixer I got was skunky.

this (kentucky brown bourbon) sounds like something I would like. thanks for the suggestion.

I generally tend to drink IPAs, stouts, porters and Belgians but I will drink brown ales on occasion. Some of them taste flat to me also. The best brown ale I've ever had was Surly Bender when I was up in Minnesota one summer. Newcastle tastes like brown water to me. I just don't care for the taste. Locally, Engine 15 makes a great one called Nutsack Imperial Brown and it's a really good beer.

I've never had the Kentucky Bourbon Ale but I've had their Bourbon Barrel Stout and Kentucky IPA. Both pretty solid brews.

The Bourbon Barrel Stout was way to thick for me. I drank it and enjoyed, but it was just too heavy. I don't think I would get again. I keep going back to the Ale though....its like the perfect bowl of porridge :)
