I came up with a new drink for today, I call it a mintjuliparita.
We went to Churchill Downs a few years ago when we were in Louisville for the game. First impression was that it looks little like what they show on TV. The old spires section is a small in comparison to the newer modern part. But we accomplished what we went for which was to bet on a few races and drink some mint juleps.
Enjoy KenTaco Derby here in some part of Denver. Mint juleps, tacos and glaucoma medicine in gummy bear form. No humidity - today is going to be a good day.

Not sure if something can get more southern than the Kentucky Derby, Masters golf tourney and the Daytona 500 (or equivalent NASCAR race in surrounding states).
Can’t wait to see Johnny Weir at the Masters and the 500. He would add so much to those events, just like he did today.
I don't follow this sport closely normally. Having knowledge of who does well on a muddy track could benefit a bettor.
