Kick Off Question

I don't understand Jimbos fascanation with having our kicker trying to kick the ball to the one yard line on kick offs . I understand WHAT he is trying to do but I would rather have our strong leg kicker put it through the end zone every time. 0% chance of a return for TD and it reduces injury concerns
