Junior outside hitter Audrey Koenig was named the ACC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight time, announced on Monday by the conference.
The Wesley Chapel, Fla., native put up monstrous numbers once again in wins last week at Miami and vs. NC State. She averaged 4.4 kills per set, a .494 hitting percentage, totaled 44 kills, averaged 3.4 digs per set and had double-doubles in both matches played.
Koenig delivered a career-high 24 kills along with a .435 hitting percentage and 19 digs at Miami. She followed with 20 kills, a .576 hitting percentage and 15 digs vs. NC State.
In FSU’s three consecutive five-set wins, Koenig has been the closer in those final sets. She has combined for a .632 hitting percentage (12-of-19 with no attack errors) in the fifth set in ACC play.
Koenig now has five straight matches with double-doubles and three matches this season with 20 or more kills. In conference play, she ranks in the Top 10 in both hitting percentage (fifth; .417) and kills per set (ninth; 3.65). She joins only NC State’s Ava Brizard in ranking in the Top 10 in both categories.
The Seminoles hit the road for matches at 11th-ranked Georgia Tech on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by a match at Clemson on Sunday at 1 p.m.
