LATE REPORT

Jimbo Fisher said he's liked the last two days of practice and noted a lot of "progress" has been made. He said the execution is much better and he feels better about the gameplan against the University of South Florida.

As for who is out: OL Abdul Bello, DE Chris Casher (it's his knee. Fisher said Casher hurt it Wednesday and he could be out at least a week.), DE Lorenzo Featherston, DB Marcus Lewis, OL Chad Mavety, OL Cole Minshew and WR Nyqwan Murray.

Beyond that Fisher addressed a few items including handling a dual-threat quarterback, along with USF's running backs led by sophomore Marlon Mack. Fisher said, "They're dynamic, strong, make you miss tackles. They're fast. They catch the ball. Those backs are really good."

You can find the video of our chat with Jimbo here.

As always we'll have more content this evening and throughout Friday leading up to Saturday's 11:30 a.m. game.

EARLY REPORT

Light rain resulted in Florida State having practice inside on Thursday afternoon. Kind of funny to see how some of the players reacted. The team did its routine stretching and after they broke for individuals, quite a few players were heading outside. A few players seemed a little crestfallen to stay inside. Either way, there was a practice and here's what happened:

DE Chris Casher was held out but was still in a jersey. He had a brace around his left knee. Perhaps it is precautionary. Jimbo Fisher always provides an injury report when he meets with the media after Thursday practice. Something says we'll hear about Casher's condition.

OL Cole Minshew, Abdul Bello and Ryan Hoefeld were also held out. All three had jerseys and helmets on but were held away from drills. What we've seen from the offensive line hasn't changed. First team is still Roderick Johnson-Kareem Are-Corey Martinez-Wilson Bell-Brock Ruble.

RB Mario Pender and Dalvin Cook were pretty quick in drills today. They really stood out on agility drills while moving around the practice dummies. Pender and Cook's movement was noticeably faster than nearly everyone else except for Jacques Patrick. He was quick but Cook and Pender were still slightly ahead of him.

As for the defensive line, this was one of the first times in the open session they worked against barrels to simulate an offensive line. Again, there's a possibility they've done it already but it was out for everyone to see today.

Here's your Tweet of the Day:

We've been told Fisher will meet with us around 6 p.m.

Until then. Bye for now.
