I observed someone spraying herbicide to kill the weed growth emerging from the seams between the stone/tile plaques. I didn’t mention the growth in my first post, but was glad to see some attention starting to be paid to that highly visible area. I also retrieved a Target bag from my car and performed a 360 police call around the University Center and supporting parking lots. I filled it 3 times with plastic bottles, soda cans, masks, straws, paper, confetti, etc. The same broken glass bottle near a bench close to the gift shop that was there last week remained this week. My solution would be to assign specific employees to police and empty the trash cans so there is someone accountable. Prior to the start of the Sunday TCU baseball game that got rained out, the trash cans outside of Howser were over flowing. I’m not criticizing, but it’s about organizing and working smarter for optimal outcomes so our athletic facilities and grounds are always in showcase condition. .
