I hope everybody has treated themselves to watching at least one of the softball games this season (barring the opener). It seems every single inning some super stud hitter is coming up to bat, followed by another, followed by another. . .the depth of offensive talent is just outstanding this year.
Pitching has been good, and Lonnie has been able to get a lot of girls in the circle, and the cream will rise to the top by the time conference play rolls around, but there are several options who have been pounding the strike zone, and Francik looks to be the next dominant arm of the future.
Defensively, outfield play has been fair. . .making the routine plays, but not many dazzlers, but with the way their swinging the bats, its more than a fair trade off.
But, if you want to watch a team put up crooked numbers just about every inning, tune in to them. . .they are a treat to watch.
