Local Weather Man Loses It

Lol...that was awesome. And those temps looked awful. Everywhere between 6-64...no way man. I’d be moving Florida with all the crazies no problem.

That was funny. I wouldn't say he lost it. A weatherman with a sense of humor.

Been debating whether he lost it or was just being funny... I think he legitimately just said "screw it" and went on a rant though. Delkus seems like he teeters there every once in a while, but I don't know that he'd go this far.

The advantage DFW weather casters have is they can predict it's going to rain, and if it rains somewhere in N. Texas, they were right. Meanwhile, the rest of us in N Texas didn't get a drop.

Saw this last night, apparently that show keeps it light and funny, and they reran the segment later than day, so I agree with you, it was humor. And once you have lived in a place with a legit winter, you get frustrated by month 5....

I have always found it funny people blame the messenger on weather.

From July through September the weather forecast here is easy: 96 degree, 40% chance of rain. Seriously, that is the prediction every single day.

Awesome. I just fired off a nasty email to our local guy. It snowed twice earlier this week and it was 89 when I walked out of work to come home today... pick one dude, just flipping pick one!!
It is way to early for us to be that hot, BTW. Nuts, I say, nuts.

The last few days we have had mid 70's to 20's in one 24 hr. period, mid 60's one day and the next day 2 inches of snow....the weather in the Midwest has been very bizarre this year.

That's because it was actually filmed near LA in California. Grand Rapids is pretty miserable. I had the displeasure of working there for a few months back in my consulting days.
The sad thing is Grand Rapids is one of the best areas of Michigan.

Like Pete Delkus isn’t enough for you????

Besides you knowing about Delkus, which is weird, I actually pay no attention to his forecasts. Local is neat in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work, but I've got plenty of apps on the phone that are equally off and I don't have to pay attention to their "personalities."

Delkus is a former professional baseball player. Also an avid turkey and quail hunter. Great guy, and he has a tremendous gig. I would say he "works" about 3 hours per day -- outside of tornadoes or other drastic events -- and there is obviously no penalty for getting stuff wrong. His income is enormous, especially given the immediately prior sentence. One of the funniest and best people you will ever meet.

Yeah, knew he pitched in the Twins (?) system way back when. Just didn't realize you had some ties to him. Neat.
