My wife is having a big birthday, but she isn't into "expensive" restaurants. (Took her to the Top of the Hub in Boston and she wasn't a fan) She wants a nice place where she can "get dirty" with some crab legs. Hopefully on the water.

Anyone have a suggestion?

TIA

Mr Manatees. I haven't been recently but it used to be a favorite of mine. The grouper chowder is awesome.

I've always liked Mr Manatee's, and it's definitely casual. Stay away from Mulligan's - nice location right on the water, but mediocre food. Ocean Grill is one of my favorites, but it's kind of fancy.

If you're into beer, don't miss Orchid Island Brewery (http://orchidislandbrewery.com/)

A short drive south to Ft. Pierce and you'll find one of my very favorite seafood restaurants ever - Chuck's Seafood (https://www.facebook.com/ChucksSeafood)
