Anyone else watched season 3? Best season yet in my opinion. Sets up quite nicely for what I hope will be a season 4.

We watched the first episode the other night. Our hope is to get through a few more episodes this weekend.

I liked the first 2 seasons, but honestly didn't like the first episode of season 3 very much. I don't know if it was longer than usual, but it never really reeled me in and by the end I was ready to be doing something else other than watching the episode. Hopefully it gets better.

I watched it. I thought it was the best of the 3 seasons, as well. It's not an all-time great series, but certainly worth watching. Throw some Nazis into any show or movie and I'll watch it. I'm a sucker for WWII history (even though this takes place after).

If there's a season 4, I'll watch it, as well.

So here is one question I have.

In the final episode, High Castle told Smith that the Nazi plans to conquer other universes would never work because the only way someone could travel to another universe is if they were dead in the place they were traveling to. This is why only one of the test subjects passed through.

However, last season the trade minister went back and forth to our universe at will. Since he visited his son in our universe it was obvious they didn’t think him dead. Did I miss something?

By my count right now we have three known universes. The main Nazi one, the free one, and whatever one Julia was seeing where Joe shot her in the tunnel.

There will be a season 4

I really like it. I hope they end up making the similar one where the south wins the civil war, not because I wished that happened, it’s just awesome to think about what life could’ve been like.

There was a movie called CSA about what it would be like in modern times if the South had won.

This is a collection of fake ads from that movie. And the sad thing is a lot of the products like Coon Inn, Sambo Oil and Gold Dust Powder were actual Mericuhn products in the 50s and 60s so it’s not much of a stretch.

Oh my gawd that's awful

'Awesome' is like the opposite of the correct word. Perhaps 'bone-chilling' or 'nightmarish' would be more appropriate.

That insanity aside, re: High Castle. I watched the first season and a couple episodes of the second and couldn't go any further. Was kind of depressing and had too many similarities to things happening in our real world.

You obviously didn’t read the sentence before. I’m sorry I like the imagination behind these types of shows. Again, am I disappointed the South, or Japan and Germany didn’t win their respective wars? Absolutely not, so stop already. Thanks.

Fair enough. Just odd choice of words calling it 'awesome'.

Fortunately, however, your dreamshow, which was in the works (god knows why), is apparently no longer as the showrunners found something better to do. https://deadline.com/2018/02/confed...mmitment-disneys-star-wars-movies-1202279608/

Supposedly they’re going to do it later on, there was some outcry from several groups, kind of silly in my opinion. I’d also like to see a show about WW1 being flipped as well as Napoleon actually conquering Russia.

I'm through three episodes of the third season (I like to take my time since I know it'll be another year and a half before the next season comes out). So far I'm enjoying this season as much as I have the first two. For me, they've done a really good job of keeping Smith right on the edge of being the worst kind of person, and also someone I feel bad for.

Smith is definitely an interesting character, and I will be curious to see where they take his arc in future seasons. Him and Tagomi are my favorite characters on the show.

Just finished it, easily the best season. One of the most fascinating shows out right now IMO.

SPOILER ALERT

So glad Nicole(propaganda director) got what was coming to her. She paid for her arrogance, also shows how no one was safe or exempt, regardless of position. Scary, indeed.

So we just watched the very first episode, Season 1. Kinda slow, does it pick up any.

It definitely picks up, and what you are seeing now gets completely turned on it's head later in the show. It becomes almost as much sci-fi as it does "historical" drama. I thought each season was better than the first, with the third season really paying off after the foundation built in the first two.

I was hoping it wasn't sci-fi.
Maybe sci-fi isn't the best description. Not sure how much you know about the Nazis and their fascination with the occult, it's kind of plays into that a bit. It's not like a Star Trek or something, hope I didn't give you that impression.
