Odd, most of my time at FSU I lived just a few blocks away. You'd think a drunkard like me would've ended up there at some point.

OMG, it's been there forever. Whenever a bunch of us were going somewhere like St. George's or Alligator Point, we'd stop there.

Then fast forward many years. We came down for a game and I was driving past it, and my husband said, "hey wait, is that a drive through liquor store?" I say yeah, and he says "I never saw that before in my life."

Every time I drive past it, I remember the look on his face. LOL

Mike of Mike's Beer Barn was my neighbor and a really cool guy. He played at FSU right after the school turned coed. Mike's is a Tallahassee landmark and forever a part of FSU history. I miss him and his wife Judy.

My daughter turned 21 in August and after we threw in Wescott fountain we went to Mikes so she could buy her first alcohol legally. They gave her a free shot bottle of whatever she wanted as long as she drank it in the store. Apparently, its what they do now after the fountain.
