Morgan Jones returns, scores 25 points in win over FSU

On the games against NC State and Louisville, Wyckoff said:

"I'm very, very proud of this team. The win on Thursday was huge. And this game was by no means going to be an easy, automatic win just because we beat the team on Thursday. It's a great week in terms of understanding what we're capable of but also really being able to key in on what's still important and what we have to do night in and night out to beat ACC teams."

So happy for Morgan, just wish we won instead. I met her family and spoke to her after a couple of times after games. Great classy lady and awesome family. Too bad she isn't still here, I would love to see her and Ta'Niya on the floor at the same time.

No clue, but she did graduate, so I'm guessing it has to do with grad school. Her degree is in Sports Management and in that world, it seems like it is better to know a lot of people. She may have thought it was better to add contacts from another school to enhance her chances of landing a job after college. The Osceola staff can give us a lot more insight on that type of career, and may even know for sure why she left.

I think Morgan was looking for a new opportunity and a program like Louisville gave her a better shot at developing into a potential WNBA pick while playing for one of the top programs in the nation, one that is borderline Final Four-caliber annually. It's not a knock on Wyckoff or FSU in my view, just an opportunity from an academic and basketball standpoint.

Morgan stated that she wanted a chance to compete for a national title and develop her game to compete at the next level.

It’s interesting because prior to her last two games she had really been struggling and Jeff Walz didn’t seem to trust her. She went from being a first option here to playing Batman to Van Lith. Maybe this was the game to help give her confidence and turn it around before the season is over.
