I'm doing a little roadtripping this weekend and have caught some grief from my coworkers over it. I'm flying into Denver for a conference next week. I'm arriving early Saturday and getting a rental car and driving up to the Black Hills to see Mt. Rushmore. It's about a six hour drive. You'd think I was doing the trip in the OP the way they reacted to that when I told them my plans.

On Sunday, I'm looking at spending the day at Little Big Horn and then making my way back to Denver by Monday evening. The conference starts Tuesday morning. I don't understand people just wanting to hang out in a hotel for days and doing nothing. Life's too short.

I did not realize that Mt. Rushmore was that close to Denver - I might have to find some time to make that roundtrip when I'm there at the end of the month.
