55 years ago, Bill Peterson said 1962 was the most important season for FSU football & we would discover with a winning record if we were ready for big-time football or if the athletic policy needed to be reexamined with a losing one. We went on to finish that season with a 4-3-3 record, playing Kentucky, GT & Auburn all to a tie and beat UGA and VT. We took a 1 pt loss to Miami thanks to missing a last minute 35yd FG (of course).
