Is this a real list or a mock list? From this list, I actually like - Thunder Island, Pina Colada Song, I go Crazy, Rich Girl, and though I hesitate to admit it, I loved the song Puppy love when i was a kid in the early 70s.

Most anything by Sade
Agree w/ Sinatra
I Feel for you- Chaka Khan
Wicked Game-Chris Isaac--also Dancin by him
Lady Marmalade-Patty LaBelle
Angel-Sarah McLachlin- wanna wear a tear jerker listen to Hold On by her

I've always liked ABBA. They were beautiful women with beautiful voices, so why should that be embarrassing? I guess the cheesy lyrics could use some work.

No one should be ashamed of Sade. She had some awesome songs.

Kiss to build a dream on - Louis Armstrong

It matters who sings the song1 Like if it's a giant in the evolution of Jazz / singing, like Billie Holiday, you can't get dissed over anything she does. Same with "Satchmo" here, The King of Jazz.....you can't lose your card over anything he did, regardless of sappiness. But out of his singing stuff, I'd go with "It's a Wonderful World"

Maybe "Just the Way You Are", Billy Joel.

But since I absolutely love the way Karen Carpenter used her instrument (voice), probably "We've Only Just Begun", or any number of songs from their greatest hits albums.

I like a lot of '70s disco that I guess would be not be considered "manly". I've always liked Duran Duran, who were considered more of a chick band when I was growing up. I think that had more to do with their looks than their music. I don't generally like any ballads, but I love "I guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" by Elton John. I also do like ABBA. They had some awesome crafted pop songs. Oh, and Hall and Oates were my favorites growing up.

I've got the Piña Colada song on my iPhone thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack and like everything on that particular album it is A+.

I also have Rich Girl, but not the Hall and Oates version you're probably referring to. Instead I have this one.

Definitely the least male heteronormative song I liked well enough to pay for on my iPhone is Queen's Killer Queen or Bicycle.

I have Neil Patrick Harris's Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit but I got it only as my suiting up song while I'm forced to wear one by my wife as a miniprotest. So it's really an Injoke and less of a song I listen to because I enjoy it for its own sake.

I also have a lot of comedy songs by Tenacious D, Flight of the Conchords, Weird Al, Group X (All I Want is Bang bang bang!), Axis of Awesome, Psychostick and a few randoms. But again I discount those as I'm listening for amusement and not musical enjoyment.

But there's still no such thing as a man card.[/QUOTE]
Only for those not secure enough in their manhood that they need a "card" to prove it.

Armstrong was the man (and that's a great tune). If that gets a man card taken, consider mine gone.

Jeff Buckley is the man-card-in-question artist I listen to most frequently. Can't think of any other than him.

I listen to some chick singers, e.g., Etta James & Patsy Cline, but don't listen to them often. The Tedeschi Trucks band is in rotation but I listen more for Derek Trucks' guitar playing than for Susan Tedeschi's voice (which I also dig). That's about it for me.

I listen to the following 5 songs on repeat every day.
Beyonce - Single Ladies
Minnie Ripperton - lovin' you
Baha Men - Who let the dogs out?
Jason Derulo - Wiggle
Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

Hey man - nothing wrong with ABBA - some of my best couples skates were to ABBA songs.

Andreas Kümmert - Rocketman

Good to see some fella 80's kids up in here, as I have no shame in jamming out to Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Cyndi Lauper, Genesis, Huey Lewis, Rygar Nintendo game music. Hell, I even recently googled Chipmunk Punk (yes this was the 80's cartoon "The Chipmunks" punk cover album I used to listen to as a little kid on a plastic toy Fisher Price record player. Wgaf, I want it!).

Something that hasn't been touched on yet is classical music. Will unashamedly jam this Chopin tune amongst others during long drives.

Huey Lewis? Just saw him at Universal this past weekend. He actually sounded exactly the same even 30 years later. My only complaint is that there he was at Universal mere football fields away from the former Back to the Future Ride and still Center of BTTF memorabilia and he did NOT play Back in Time. He did play Power of Love though.

Always liked George Michael. Freedom '90 is a great song and the video was fantastic as well.
He also did a cover of Somebody to Love at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert that might be one of the best covers ever.

1. "I've Never Made Love to a Parakeet, But I Have Kissed a Cockatoo" by Boy George.

2. Anything by Michael Bolton.

3. Anything by Barry Manilow except for his McDonald's commercials.

I've drafted several contract for a Manilow concerts; they definitely contained a Lot's Wife Clause, which is the absolute weirdest clause in concert contracts.

Always get snide remarks over ABBA, and I don't give a rat's azz. Except for their very first album, RIng Ring, they produced some of the greatest pop music in history.
