Natalie Williams former Tallahassee Democrat sports reporter

WTF??? From what I could read before the Democrat blocked the article trying to sell me a subscription was BIZARRE to say the least. The world we live in is a strange place these days.........

What I didn't understand when the story broke was that the husband/boyfriend (can't remember) left the car and went into their apartment and came back later to the accident. Don't understand that.

its a sad story and a very disturbing article. 3 domestic distrubance calls to her and husbands house since moving to alabama and review of the car and info she had been to the gas station to fill a tanks, and it was found as an acclerant in the car. she's got 75% or more of her body burned, its just sad, I hope she gets help as well I can't imagine being in that kind of a dark place. prayers to her family, geez its a crazy world

Seems simple enough. He argues with his wife. Walks away to calm down. After calming down, realizes "even if she's acting like a %^*#, I can't leave my wife on the streets at 2 o'clock in the morning". Comes back to find his car on fire. Pulls his wife from burning car.

Missing an important piece. The wreck. He left the accident and went inside the apartment. That's what I don't understand. Or that's the way I interpret it when the story first came out. Seems like they went to dinner that evening and came back home when the accident occurred I believe the first report stated.

Such a sad situation. Hopefully Natalie will recover and built a whole new life.

In other Tallahassee Democrat news Gerald Ensley is early-retiring which some will love and others hate.

So very sad. She was fired for plagerism and now this is where he story goes. Hope she gets the help she needs but those burn scars will always be a reminder.

What is it with people working in the news business in Tallahassee and then going crazy?

An accelerant is anything that expedites or helps accelerate the growth of a fire (paper can be considered an accelerant in a fire). The presence of an ignitable liquid in a suspicious location is what makes arson, arson. Gasoline present in a vehicle that uses gasoline isn't necessarily out of the ordinary. You see gasoline in car fires that don't burn to conclusion more times than not.

If this was an attempted murder case a decent defense attorney would poke holes in the gasolines presence. Even if it's found in the drivers seat or engine block. If it's found on her clothes combined with the gas tanks, receipt and video would be more pertinent in the investigation.

Reminds me of a former newscaster for the station Asheville. She poured gas on her boyfriends bed and torched the place. Maybe he was stepping out....
Tough news about Natalie. Maybe she can get it together.

I am confused as to whether she burned herself on accident or on purpose.

Either way, I also hope she recovers and gets the help she needs.

They have her on video, after the crash, buying a gallon of gas and then walking back to the vehicle. It's going to take a hell of an attorney.

I was just using a scenario (one I've seen play out in court). Besides it's attempted suicide. Open and shut case Johnson.

Beautiful couple-one is a certified nut and the other has a nice rap sheet.
