I believe UNC was served by the NCAA with the 3rd NOA on December 21, 2016, and UNC's response thereto is due tomorrow, 90 days from when served.

It is hard to believe that UNC told the NCAA, prior to the NCAA serving UNC with the 3rd NOA, that it was "none of NCAA's business" that UNC operated a fake academic department, that offered fake classes, awarded fake grades and awarded fake degrees, for 13 years to keep academically at-risk athletes academically eligible.

In response to UNC's arrogance, the NCAA issued a 3rd NOA, which included allegations of lack of institutional control that includes both UNC's football and UNC's mens' basketball, covers the 13 years whcih the fake department operated .

BTW, UNC's fake academic department started while Johnny Swofford was UNC's AD.

It will be interesting to see if UNC stays with its "none-of-your business" defense or abansons it for a new irrational defense.

I am confident that UNC's "none-of-your business defense" really impressed the NCAA and will be a winning strategy if continued as the NCAA marches on.
