Newman's on Capital Circle NE. (850)877-3224. Family owned and operated. Good people who do a thorough job.
PepBoys. They guarantee their work, they are in most every city. Get a PepBoys card and they give you 6 months same as cash under a $1,000 12 months over a $1,000. They can do most everything this side of rebuilding a engine and I have always thought they are reasonable. I swear by this company

Stay away from Pep Boys on Appalachee Pkwy. Lots of bad stories from that specific store.

Bob's Auto Repair on Gaines Street does both mechanical repairs and paint & body work. It's close to FSU.
They have been in business for many, many years and always seem to get good reviews from the student body.
I have done business with Import Authority and have been pleased.
Mike's Garage is on W.Pensacola Street, just west of the FSU campus. He does a lot
of business with the college crowd.
Tommy T's is on Thomasville road and is a jerk. Had some bad reviews.
According to a report on YELP, they recommend work which may not be necessary.

Perdue's on N. Monroe between 6th and 7th ave. The guy is honest and will only do the work that is needed... no add on or up-selling
