Anyone else currently watching this? A financial adviser and his family flee from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder $500 million in five years to get the cartel off his back.

Just finished episode 2 and so far so good. It's worth the watch if you're looking for a new series to binge on.

Started watching last week with the wife. We like it; still trying to figure out the angle and plot. I know I hate the wife already.

Finished it in over two weekends. Prettty good show and hope they do a second season.

Good show, thought Laura Linney was miscast. While she's a great actress, she also seems much older than Bateman. While she's only 5 years older, he comes off much younger. Not to mention her lover was really much older.

Still, not many complaints on the show. Very well done.

Halfway in, it's a solid show. I think it would have been better off had the show stayed in Chicago though.

Agreed. She is my one complaint with the show as well. I finished it this weekend, looking forward to more.

I think a second season makes sense. Still a lot of good development ahead if they want to do it. Hope they do.

100% agree with you on this. And while she is a good actress, I'm just not a fan of hers in general. She got on my nerves in the C word as well; something about her gets under my skin.

She plays the up-tight unlikable bitch pretty well. I guess that's why they cast her and the arch of the storyline wants you to dislike her and then kinda shows you back story later.

Still, a more age appropriate and likable actress could have gone a long way for compelling someone to take her side.

Just finished up season 1. Great final episode. Tension just builds and builds with some truly shocking moments.

the baby scene was one of the more uncomfortable scenes for me to watch in a long time. Someone needs to properly teach this guy how to baptize a person, much less a child

That scene literally gave me anxiety. It was incredibly hard to watch. Even him walking through the forest was tough, stomach churning.

The show was full of tense moments, lots of shocking scenes. I knew what was coming when Del got his head blown off. Figured when he wasn't the boss and had to answer to someone else, he was expendable.

The idea that the hill billies were untouchable was a bit hard to swallow. Local police obviously protect them but seriously stupidly naive that "they'll just send another Mexican" is their approach.

Also, it's a shame they killed Del off. He was ruthless and I loved him in the first episode and really throughout.

I honestly would have expected him to travel 4 deep always. Anywhere he went. Especially into enemy territory. He must have been fairly small potatoes, looking back.

Season 2 could be epic if they can cast someone awesome for Del's boss. He's too high dollar but Javier Bardem would be awesome as evil upper level boss.

Just stumbled onto it on Netflix, funny you mentioned it here. I like Bateman so I will be watching shortly.

I about jumped out of my seat when crazy old lady took out the Mexican. That was some nasty stuff.

We were also wondering if preacher man was really going to kill his baby. However, he really does not seem torn up that his wife is dead.

I'm assuming the resort owner took off with some of the cash never to be seen again. Had Marty known she had taken off, he would have had the perfect excuse for his handler disappearing. He was the only other person who knew where the money was stashed. Sure beats getting your toenails ripped off.

All sorts of potential directions to go if Netflix greenlights a season 2.

I like the show, I'm at the start of E9. I love Peter Mullan, especially in Cinemax's "Quarry", where he also walks into a large poppy field.

Also, in one of the earlier episodes, someone put down a paper coffee cup and it made that hollow sound that I hate.

Jason Bateman walks out of a bank with $8 million in three of four duffle bags. $8 million in $100 bills would weigh 166 lbs. and he was carrying one of those backpacks like there was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in there.

That first episode was masterful. Ton of action in a 1-hour episode. Bateman was top-notch with his interactions with Del and the bank.

Just finished Sons of Anarchy and looking for my next binge. Will at least check out this pilot but currently leaning toward Mad Men or Boardwalk Empire. I'm always a day late to most of these series.

It's hard to fathom large sums of money like that:

went to the FBI agent's room, the show nearly lost me.....

So, I am at episode 4 or 5, don't remember.

I was dying laughing. Then the partner was all upset that he would cheat on him. Haha Hollywood just trying way too hard. Same in the show Shameless.

Through episode 7. Really like it so far.
Just watched episode 2 last night. That bit in the car about what gets him to sleep at night was dark and hilarious...well written show so far. It's certainly reminding me a bit of Breaking Bad.

Two episodes in and I like it so far. I was a little taken aback in its abrupt, heavy, dark tone to start things off as opposed to say, Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, which start out more lightly and build as the arc progresses.

I'm 6 episodes in. Can't quite get into it. I'll try to finish it just to get a full opinion, but not my favorite show right now. Kinda slow and boring
