Last week FSU celebrated a loss. Celebrating a loss creates weakness. I know it’s cliche to say but a loss is a loss. One week we lose by three and the program has turned the corner. We are almost back to national prominence.
The next week we lose by three and it’s the end of the program. Fire everybody, never watch another game. At the end of the day we are still 0-2.
Winners don’t want participation trophies. When celebrating a loss complacency is the reward. We took this game for granted expecting to win by showing up. We disrespected our opponent by not doing our best in preparation and they returned the favor by planting their flag at midfield when they left with the win.
The next week will say a lot about our coaches, our players and our fans. Always do your best and be satisfied with your effort but NEVER, EVER celebrate a loss.
