This means my certificate for being an Inaugural Season Ticket holder will increase in value. Early retirement!
I think the best option anyone has is to try and create a league that works in association with the NFL as a minor league of sorts the way the USL did with MLS to help form it's growth. If they're trying to create a league that competes with the NFL, I think the majority of the public is past caring. It'll take the NFL's support to work. If teams are actually associated with real NFL teams, financed by, and marketed with them then I think you can have some success comparative to minor league baseball/soccer.
Or, they could be the anti-NFL. They'll play the national anthem at the beginning of each quarter. The team that shows the most patriotism gets the ball.
It was said there will be a place for both timmay and Johnny Football. Talk about both ends of the spectrum.

I have no idea when the season would be trying to start as there's no article associated with this post. Previously the XFL wanted to be considered as an equal to the NFL and put a ton of money and stupid gimmicks into doing so. Either way, the NFL is going to do their best to kill any league who tries to be considered equal to them regardless of when it starts. Right now we talk about the NFL year round, they don't want to lose that domination of the market. I'm of the opinion that it only works if the NFL is onboard. I think an official minor league NFL with associations with each team would be a good thing, but right now I just think they have no reason to do so. College is their minor league, and with the way the salary structures are setup, they're a youth league so they're happy to simply cut and sign new each year.

I remember the first Orlando Rage game vividly. It was a spectacle. It was like a rock concert, biker rally, strip club and football game all rolled into one. The people in charge of concessions at the T-Bowl didn't anticipate what would happen. Even though the top tier of the stadium was closed, the crowd still drank almost all of the beer in the stadium. There was only on stand that still had one unfinished keg left after it was over.

They'd be crazy to not let Johnny Football play. Imagine a Tebow vs Manziel game. I bet that would get higher ratings than a Browns or lolphins game.
Especially if Manziel ended up playing for a team called the Lions. Can you imagine the promotional possibilities of a "Christian vs Lions Rematch"?

There trying to follow the mls, franchise model. Results won't be predetermined. Once you get people or Vegas to gamble on it, life will be good for them. Vince learned from past mistakes and is trying to eliminate the bs in football.

It’s still around as the Legends Footballs league, just unfortunately not in Tampa or Orlando anymore, the closest is now in Atlanta. I actually enjoyed watching it because perhaps surprisingly to some, they could actually play. The QBs were usually surprisingly good, maybe not NFL quality but certainly arena league level.
They did switch to yoga pants from the shorts last year as there were too many rug burn injuries in the bikini bottoms.
