I was just reading an ESPN article about what the top 25 teams need to do to be successful in September.
Key to a winning September | ESPN
In looking at the schedule for September, our team has their work cut out for them:
Sept. 2nd - Alabama
Sept. 9th - ULM
Sept. 16th - Miami
Sept. 23rd - NC State
Sept. 30th - Wake
While I do believe we win against ULM, Wake for sure. The Miami and NC State are not sure locks and of course the Bama game is a coin flip. We could come out of the month 5-0, 4-1, 3-2, or 2-3 with potential losses being to Bama, Miami, and NC State.
I don't make score or record predictions because I am so superstitious (I know...it's lame and unfounded, but I can't help it. I've done it before and I am usually wrong in the worst way). But in looking at our September, we better have that offensive line figured out and our defense better show up for the whole season and not just the second half like last year.
Thoughts?
