Officiating last night. Bad sign of things to come?

When I first heard that the gator turd Douglass Choades was retiring, I had hoped that meant a competent head of officials would be brought in and the ACC officiating product would improve...especially since they've received so much open criticism and ridicule from the media and spectators over the past 5 years.

But the early returns from the UNC and FSU games appear to indicate that we are in for more of the same this year.

There were a lot of terrrible calls and spots last night that all mostly favored the opponent. But the biggest representation of ACC officiating incompetence, imo, came on the deep out throw to Rudolph. The official was not even close to being in position to get the spot right...which is sometimes understandable...but they even reviewed the catch for multiple minutes, clearly can see Rudolph go out at the 47.5 yard line, and then come back to the field and mark him at the 46.

Just unbelievable.
