I am reading several of these threads and I think it is funny how a large portion of our posters keep saying things like "We are definitely losing at least two games after what I saw today" or "After today with our O-Line and Passing game, Charles Kelly etc. I see 3-4 losses as a real possibility". Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and maybe I'm a little too optimistic but I could also see us going undefeated or losing one game.
How many people last year after their game with Virginia Tech thought Ohio State was a great football team who had a legitimate shot at winning a national championship? I sure as heck didn't. My point is I have no idea if this team will improve in the future or if the poor weather, early start, us underestimating USF, Jimbo being conservative or tons of other scenarios caused us to have a lackluster performance today. I'm just happy that we won and didn't have to go to double OT vs an FCS school. We could lose 3 or 4 games this season but those of you who are saying this, do you all take joy in us losing? Or when/ if we lose that many games, do you guys enjoy telling everyone "I told you so!"? I'm just looking forward to BC next week and hoping we learn/improve on a week to week basis and continue to win games. We have a young team and our talent level is as good as any team in the country. With our talent and Jimbo I think we are certainly capable of winning every game on our schedule this year as long as we continue to improve. Maybe I'm too positive but I really enjoy winning and would rather be cautiously optimistic as opposed to negative about the remainder of the season.
