Every year since Jimbo has taken over, with exception of 2013, we have struggled to make our talent match the performance. 2014 was flat out loaded but still didn't play like it. Something we had in 2013 has clearly been missing. What in the hell is missing? Is it Pruitt? Can't be just Jameis because he was here in '14 too. Without Jameis, though, in '14 we lose 3 games minimum. Something we had in '13, and it's clearly not talent, is missing!
I think Jimbo is a good coach and probably a little better recruiter. I just don't think Jimbo is great as most people on here do. Outside of FSU fans I don't think anyone else does either. FSU is running thin on excuses and running even thinner with the respect level from other teams.
I want all of you to think about something for second.... Without Jameis (Just one guy) we probably are still waiting on a national title. Say what you want but look at clemson. A program that should be beneath us is not only stock piling talent but has generation QB's coming through the program. You know why? Because dabo is a CEO coach and not a micro manager with lap dog assistants. dabo has top notch alpha dog assistants who actually runs the show when it comes to on the field. We are dangerously close to being surpassed in the ACC.
I sure hope the the board of trustees at FSU do not, under any circumstances, give Jimbo any kind of extensions no matter how Sexton spins it every year when a coaching job comes up. If another "LSU" job comes open and Sexton starts playing the money card again then I hope he is told to tell his client to be happy where he is or hit the damn road. Jimbo needs to start EARNING his damn pay.
It's not hard, Jimbo. Clean house, go out and find you some alpha dog assistants that will not put up with your micro managing and get the hell out of their way. Turn your offense over to a real OC that runs a fast spread offense and let him turn these playmakers loose. I guarentee within 2 you'll be winning title after title!
