Yup, according to yelp, off of Gaines at 809 Gay St. Looks to be a Chase Bank now. My memory is definitely foggy from my times there, but it appears to be the right area.

I remember the Gaines St. location. A very interesting place.

This must be a different Freds. It wasn’t on Tennessee street. Half biker bar, half college kids. Huge pours in tall glasses. Flight-fueler was their signature drink as I recall.

There were two. In the late 70s and early 80s the more popular of the two was on Tennessee Street. Had some trouble and closed that one down, but in that time frame it was far more popular then the other one.

Ah, lots of good memories for sure

Speaking of being an old timer. Do the kids still do the Tennessee Waltz?
