Dust-covered woman from iconic 9/11 photograph dies of cancer
We've probably all seen the image of her and it's sad she has passed but after reading the article we forget how much events like 9/11 or heck even someone involved with a shooting can be messed up for the rest of their lives. Could this lady be diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?
A survivor of the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York who was featured in one of the most haunting photographs of the outrage has died of stomach cancer. She was 42.
After the attacks, Borders spiraled into a decade-long deep depression and alcohol and drug abuse, though she eventually recovered..
She spent much of her time sequestered in her two-room flat, in one of the poorer parts of Bayonne, a bedroom community in New Jersey over the bridge from Manhattan.
