FSU has not lost a game on 9/18 since losing to Marino's Pitt team in 1982. The only 2 times we played on this date in the 90's were coincidentally during the '93 & '99 championship seasons and coincidentally both were against teams from North Carolina. We were ranked #1 before and after both of those games. In 93 we beat UNC 33-7 and '99 we beat NC St 42-11. The '93 game was the only one of those on the road. Neither game had a rusher reach 70 yards.
