Get it started with the best baseball song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04KQydlJ-qc

And the famous speech from James Earl Jones character in Field of Dreams:

"Ray. People will come, Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. "Of course, we won't mind if you look around", you'll say, "It's only $20 per person". They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again. Oh...people will come Ray. People will most definitely come."

Now... how about that braves trade? Sucks to see Kimbrel go but its business--- thanks for nothing Melvin

All is right with the world.
They have been doing that for over 100 years. I'm not sure what was wrong to now make it right.

As for the Braves trade, I read an article that people thought the Braves weren't in rebuilding mode until last night. Really? They are trying to have a viable team by the time SunTrust opens up.

FSU alum Kevin Cash makes his managerial debut today as the Rays take on the Orioles at 3.

Had to give up my Astros' seats because got slammed and have to head over to NOLA. They were damn good seats, probably could have shared nachos with G.W. Bush and Babs.....

Still cant believe the Rays hired him. Just mailing it in until they move.

Why? He's very highly regarded. Would you have preferred some old retread like Wakamatsu? Hiring a manager has nothing to do with mailing it in.

He wasn't even coaching three years ago. There were tons of more qualified candidates than a 37 year old they got on the cheap.

Former Nole Devon Travis opening day starter for the Blue jays at 2B. Pretty exciting to play his first major league game at Yankee Stadium

There aren't many on the Rays blogs who agree and who cares whether he was coaching three years ago. This isn't football. And none of the other guys would have commanded that much more money, it's not like they were going to pull some big name established guy.

I dont really give a damn what the people on the Ray's blogs ere saying. Martinez would have been a much better hire.

Cash was a bullpen coach. What experience does he have running a dugout where a lo of guys are not much younger than he is? It was a total reach.
