Our problem is caused by the lack of Senior leadership and by the extreme success of our program and individual players.

I Can't imagine being a kid with the success that these kids have had over the last few years. All the attention all of the fanfare and all of the glory. May makes some of them think they are somewhat untouchable.
This success has also led to a mass attrition of upper class players to the NFL. Almost every starter being drafted (regardless of class).
With that said, being a young 18 year old hot shot prospect knowing there is a better than good chance that in a 2-3 years he is going to be a star signing a big NFL contract.
Now this kid has little to no adult leadership around him during his most vulnerable time (2 am in the month of June during the off season).
