From 1991 to 2002 a school from the state of Florida(One State) played for the national title in 1991(UM),1992(UM),1993(FSU),1995(UF),1996(FSU/UF),1998(FSU),1999(FSU),2000(FSU),2001(UM),2002(UM). You can even argue UM in 1994 because they played #1 Nebraska in the Orange Bowl but was ranked #3. That's 11 out of 12 years that the title had to come through the state of Florida.
