People That Don't Age

I just go back from a lunch/fundraiser that Rob Lowe spoke at...really nice guy. But the dude looks the same as he did in 80's. And I'm secure enough in my masculinity to admit that standing next to him, I was only the second handsomeness man in the room.

The flip side is true too. I do look younger than I am. I always have. I had a patient who was exactly 1 year younger than I am, and he looked easily 25 years older. People just don't take care of the one and only body they have.

I have thought about this topic for some time now, being 45. But there are some people who just do not look their age. I know two guys in late mid-late 50's that looked late 30's.

I also am amazed sometimes in the opposite way. One of our regional managers we all thought was 55-57 is 45. We were floored.

Nobody wants it working that way!!!

I was in a friend's wedding back home recently. More than once, I thought to myself, I recognize this older person, but can't place them. Turns out my high school friends are all middle aged now. I looked in a mirror and I'm like WTF when did I get this old???
