Hey Gang,

I am coming down to Tally for the Miami game this year to celebrate my 40th. I have a group of 10-12 arriving noon Friday to 3:00 Sunday afternoon. I graduated in ‘01 and haven’t been back to Tally since ‘09, MOST of these guys have never been to Tally. Needless to say I want to show them a great time regardless of how much the team sucks. We have rooms at the Hampton Inn off railroad. We have a block of tickets in the Champions club.

Given the above parameters, please give me your insight of how you would plan the perfect Tally weekendfor this crew. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Come on a bye week.

Great location for a hotel. We often stay at the Residence Inn at the same corner near your hotel. We stay there so can walk to games and some nearby bars etc.

Just some things off the top of my head...right near you will be Gaines Street Pies which is the same bldg as Warhorse Whiskey bar. Easy to get some food and drinks there.

A little further toward the stadium on Gaines street is the Brass Tap...good selection of beers.

Do the Friday Night Block party down by Madison Social on Friday night.

Also take them to the front entrance of FSU and let them get pictures in front of the fountain and Wescottt Bldg...it's just such a cool photo op and great place to start if they want to walk the campus a bit.

I know this may sound dorky but Dodd Hall nearby...just a really cool interior room that is worth a look:

It’s not dorky. My favorite building on campus. Half of knowledge is knowing where to find Knowledge “

I’d say get a tee time and play a scramble but may be a challenge to bring clubs/rent that many sets. You’re staying in a great location. I’d walk to College Town and see where things take you, I’m sure you’ll have some booze fueled stories of a 40 something year old falling in love with a 21y/o bartender.

You're in a good location to start. Close to @MadisonSocial and Proof Brewery. Pretty sure they still have a free trolley that will take you from CollegeTown to downtown if you want to go to the Downtown Getdown or Andrew's.

Proof relocated to South Monroe into the old Coca Cola Warehouse, no? I haven’t been back for well over a year since the Spring Game 2018, sooooo.....

When is a good time to hit up PROOF?
If you're coming in for Friday & Saturday they're open till 1am both nights. They serve food till 11pm both nights also.

Not sure of any events for that weekend yet but I'm guessing they'll have something going on.

We liked to hit Proof during the day if it’s not 100 degrees.....although that was the old location. New location looks to have more sf under air.

I’d go for college-type experiences. Railroad square has some funky, cool places to eat and drink. Try the iron daisy - great Mexican food - and Gaines street pies. Voodoo dog is great for lunch. Fermentation lounge is a gem for great beer.

Then college town for the rest. Coosh’s and 1851are good, and of course township for beer and Madso for cocktails. Proof is much larger and better now, and they have food now.

All is within walking distance, except proof, but that’s a short Uber away.

Lots of Cougars on the prowl at Recess. Those babes love the Social Worker and Journey shirts. ;)
