This Washington Post article seems real, but I have to scratch my head and wonder just how serious these people are. What's next, moving Christmas Day or even the 4th of July?

I know in Philadelphia and some other cities he trick or treating is done the weekend. But they really need to address a serious issue: moving the Super Bowl to the Sunday before President’s Day

Or why not just to Saturday? It’s not like they need more time to gameplan. I guess ratings might be slightly lower on a Sat compared to Sunday.

I'd be for the change... Trick or treating with small kids on a week night can be extremely crazy... I much prefer it when it's on a weekend.

A few mom's in our neighborhood FB group tried to get people to agree to do it this weekend since the weather is going to be nice. Halloween we are expecting rain/snow. No one went for it haha

It usually doesnt affect me, but Sat just makes so much more sense for not only the viewers, but for the advertisers and network.

I don’t know. But I guarantee you that if the Super Bowl was before President Day everyone would have Presidents Day off.

It is a reIigious holiday, one of the most significant days/nights of the year for them. Druids, Samhain, we all know the drill.

If "they" move Halloween there is no reason they can't move Christmas and Easter as well.

They DO move Easter. Every year.
