I'm not the biggest WOB fan, but if you've ever been to the Czech Republic, you will understand how amazing this beer is.

They have it coming to a lot of the World of Beer bars tomorrow, Viera is one.

I may have to be in Ft. Myers for business, so I hope they have it at that one too.

Either way, if you live near a WOB, and you like beer, you owe it to yourself to go and get a glass or three of this beer. You will understand what real beer tastes like.

If I don't have to head south I'll join you, I have a 12pm appointment in Celebration, but will either go strait to the bar in Viera or head strait down to Ft. Myers.

They are having a dogfish 120 5 yr tasting next month. Limited to 25 people, if you're into dogfish. At 20% abv, shit is strong and sweet.

Funny, I brewed a Pilsner Urquell clone over the weekend, currently smells like a bouquet of rotten eggs in primary fermentation. Since WOB is right down the street from the office, I might swing in to the Midtown Atlanta location after work tomorrow. My brew will definitely be unfiltered and unpasteurized, but I probably won't have the exact same grain profile or yeast strain the brewery has, but it should be pretty close after a few months of lagering.

I had it and the other local brews in Prague. Its good, not great. Its definitely better to get it fresh rather than the older beer you sometimes get in bottles, but its the white bread of beer. The Bavarian wheats and various Belgian beers are much better imho.

I agree, pilsners are probably at the bottom of my fav types, bland but crisp. Good for daytime leisure drinking, but this is something you don't see to often here, so I'll give it a go.

I'm a hops guy normally, but I love Pilsner when it's done right. You know, sometimes it's all about the set and setting, maybe I remember this beer as being great because I was having such a great time in CZ.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I just confirmed it they do have it in Ft. Myers and I'm heading down there.

Myself...
It's different from Natty, you'll hate it.
I like Pilsner Urquell. It's a pilsner after all...

The Southside WOB in Jacksonville is tapping one of these kegs. I've always heard that Pilsner Urquell in the States is crap compared to the real deal.

Tex, these are getting overnighted directly from the Pilzen brewery and are only tapped for 24hrs. Probably still taste like doorknob.

I'm just a lowly peon at less than 200, but I can sign you up tonight. It's 4/4 @1pm, there are 10 spots left and I can sign you up tonight, cost is $50 for 5 5oz pours. Have a group of 5 of us already and is slowly building, the price seems kinda nuts and took me a hard sell, but at 20% abv, I think it works out in the end.

My wife and I joined their Loyalty Club a while . We're at 110 beers I think and our tally pretty much came to a dead standstill when my wife got pregnant

Dude, sign me up, I'm in.

I'm around all weekend, the wife is leaving me with the Leprachan. Come by for a beer, or I can put him in the baby backpack and we can go to Coasters.
