Mack, Reid, and Kat shut down one of the best hitting teams in the country. Love how CoachA is mixing it up. Can’t wait til Wednesday.
I agree. Reid was rarely called for an illegal pitch and Sandercock delaying the game was likely a first in 5 years. The umps should be happy with Sandercock. I think about 90% of her pitches were strikes tonight so, she speeds the game up tremendously with that. Our pitchers did perform very well. I was disappointed in the umpires selective enforcement against Reid and Kat. Lonnie really laid into the umps….good for her!
Four illegal pitches and a delay. Come on. After only one illegal pitch called all year against Reid, why now?
As someone said, the pitcher for UCF in the Regionals was so slow that she was a human rain delay but Kat is not.
Seems a bit suspect.
Just hopefully that crew is done and we have a new crew for the final series. Amateur hour for sure. After Reid was called I started watching the Tenn pitcher closely, and she was doing the same thing. The illegal pitch thing is like holding in football. It could be called every play…I agree. Good luck with getting fairer umpiring. (Hope I'm wrong!) I haven't been glued to OU's games, but from what I've seen the home plate umps have been quite reluctant to call borderline pitches strikes against Sooner hitters for instance...I think they've been intimidated by the home crowd.Just hopefully that crew is done and we have a new crew for the final series.
