Of course, we’ve done all the True Detective seasons. I’ve heard The Wire was really good. Will start the new Kevin Bacon series on Sho when it’s finished. Any suggestions?

NYPD Blue is my favorite, still holds up pretty well. Early seasons of Law & Order are fantastic as well.

I agree. Loved Law & Order until it got political. Quit watching at that point.
We watch a lot of Forensic Files, American Greed, Dateline, etc.

Hit the nail on the head, that's when I bailed too.

NYPD never seemed to do that, except on a street level, and their were quite a few episodes that were very emotionally powerful. Did a full series rewatch a few years ago, Andy Sipowicz is one of the best and most developed characters in the history of television.

If I taught high school business/ finance, American Greed would be a must viewing and a valued discussion. A lot of the perpetrators use similar strategies (guaranteed high rate of return, no risk, cash back bonus on initial investment ect ect) to con individuals out of their money. There is a local guy up here who has been advertising similar strategies for many years now and claims he has the secret sauce that eliminates the inherent risks to all other competing investments. I fully expect him to be featured in this show sometime in the future when his house of cards come crashing down. Unfortunately, there is no telling how many millions have been invested in his scheme that will be forever lost on that day.

One doesn't have to understand what is in the snake oil, they just need to be able to spot the salesman.

As a former rookie myself, I really enjoyed ABC's "The Rookie". They pretty accurately portray how officers in training are treated and some of the personalities of the FTO's. Obviously everything Hollywood does is dramatized for entertainment i.e. lots of shootouts etc. But the interactions and scenarios between the recruits and the FTO's is very accurate. They got some excellent consulting in regards to that.

I really liked Shetland, and mostly watch the Brit cop shows on PBS, like Grantchester and Endeavour.

Have you watched Line of Duty? Ignore how it Starts off (it’s so much more than a Bang ! Bang! Terrorism flick). It’s really good. Unforgotten is REALLY good too. I love my British shows. I’m still not over Shetland being over... I miss it so much.

There are some really good police dramas from the U.K. one, carried on amazon prime, is DCI Banks. Another unique one is White Chapel. Lastly, Broadchurch is really good.

Just started reading the Dublin Murder Squad series. I'm hooked...

I see that Starz is about the launch the series. I hope it will be a winner. I'm still waiting on HBO's Bernie Guenther to go somewhere.
