I would choose to go to Key West or Savannah before that town.

Savannah is just as bad

It is now abundantly clear that Matthew Ajibade was murdered by police in Savannah, Georgia. For over 10 months, police and prosecutors have concealed the video evidence of his murder not only from the public, but from Matthew's closest friends and family members.

His death in police custody was ruled a homicide by coroners, but the whole of Savannah's government has colluded in covering up a sadistic and brutal murder of a beloved artist and photographer who was a student at Savannah College of Art and Design.

The video below is awful and is confirmation that the United States tortures and kills its prisoners on American soil. Torture is not something that happens far away in Abu Ghraib, it's happening here.

In case you can stomach the video, please allow me to explain what happens so that you can understand it and prepare to speak out against it.

I wonder what the police report states gave them reasonable suspicion to question the Afro-American men in the yard before the councilman came out.....

Apparently they got a call re: suspicious activity.

Sadly in many places anytime one black man or more are present it qualifies "suspicious activity".

I went to a predominantly black high school and thought I understood a lot of the difficulties and disadvantages structurally bestowed upon them by the system - but I'm realizing more and more that my understanding is just the tip of the iceberg. They are presented with systemic or societal obstacles at every turn.

Police need to be able to control the situation they are dealing with, but that guy did not seem to be threatening, shouting, or doing anything other than having a conversation. Guess that's a tazeable offense.

I completely agree. I have seen first hand how differently the police act when dealing with black people. It is a big problem and few seem to care.

Does anyone know any good bars in Prairie View? I'll be there for work and looking for a fun place to watch the Georgia Tech game.

Also, any recommendations for BBQ would be appreciated.

Yeah, I don't get it. I believe too many cops are petrified of getting hurt and operate 24/7 with an us v. them mentality. They shouldn't be on the street.
